The Batman show and the comics rarely had all that much in common, though the plots of some episodes can be traced to actual stories from the comic books.But not long after the "million dollar debut" of "the new Batgirl," in Detective Comics #359, Yvonne Craig made her first appearance as Barbara Gordon in Batman's third season.
But the show conked out at the end of that season, and the comics are still going. Shame that little parallel didn't happen.
